The Society's Annual General Meeting and autumn visits will be held on Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th October. This weekend get-together is going to be a wonderful opportunity to visit four gardens on the Kent / Sussex borders. They should be looking at their most colourful in October.

• Bedgebury Pinetum (Forestry Commission), near Flimwell, a few miles South East of Tunbridge Wells. Just off A21.
• Scotney Castle garden (National Trust garden of 700 acres), near Lamberhurst, a few miles South East of Tunbridge Wells. Just off A21.
• Sheffield Park Garden (National Trust garden of 265 acres), near Haywards Heath. Just off A275.
• Borde Hill Garden (Private Garden of 200 acres), near Haywards Heath. Off of A272.

Members and their friends are invited to the Societiy's spring weekend get-together based in Madrid, kindly organized by Fran de la Mota. We will be visiting a variety of locations within reach of Madrid as well as travelling to Jardín Botánico Iturrarán, near San Sebastián.

From Japanese Maples, through Europe to the Oregon Maple - the Maple Society is the international society for all acer enthusiasts and experts.
